GM Quality Leather was established in 1991 by Guillermo Magallón as a manufacturer of high-quality equestrian tack and leather goods. Built on generations of leatherworking tradition, the company continues a family craft that began in the 1930s with my grandfather, a shoemaker in Guadalajara, Mexico.
In 2007, I assumed leadership of the business and expanded our focus beyond traditional Western tack to include private-label manufacturing and custom leather goods for select partners. Today, GM Quality Leather works closely with retailers, brands, and professionals seeking reliable craftsmanship, consistent quality, and long-term manufacturing relationships.
As a third-generation leather artisan, I take pride in overseeing every aspect of production. All GM Quality Leather products are handcrafted in Los Angeles using premium U.S.-sourced leathers and time-tested construction methods. Our commitment to durability, functionality, and honest materials remains at the core of everything we produce.
